How to find your location on android programmatically?

Can you broadcast your GPS location on a smart phone? If so with what apps?

• I want to find a way that I can broadcast my GPS location to only those who I invite or allow to see. The reason is so I can throw spontaneous parties in hidden locations to only those who I invite. It would be ideal if I could send out my location to others that is specific enough on whatever map application they use, so they could physically walk to the location and find it. Even better if there was as chat service or some type of communication service built into the app. I know there is a lot of GPS dating apps, but I figure that those only show your general location or something. I would need something specific and I doubt many people dating want their exact location shown (well, maybe some do). I personally have an iPhone, but it would be cool if there was an app that works on both Android and iPhone.
