How do I change my background on my HP mini?

Can you change the background on an HP-Mini 210 without using the internet?

  • I just recently bought an HP-Mini only to find out that the option to set a picture as a background has been deleted for this PC. (That sucks) But I have found on-line that the background can be changed but it requires the use of the internet. But beings though I don't have the internet on my HP-Mini yet, is there another way I can change the background to a picture that's already on there? @Bagelsrgood My mom actually ordered it for me but I guess she didn't read about any restrictions. She was more concerned about the price and aesthetics than anything else. Yeah, I know. Big mistake. But anyways, going to a wifi hot spot - great idea! I can't believe I didn't think of that myself. Thanks!

I don't know. Why would you choose to own a device with so many restrictions? Anyways, just go to a wifi hotspot to get on the internet to get it done.

Well, that is because you are probably using a version of windows called Starter for your mini. You can either go out and buy the Premium if you like but you would need a friend to burn it to a usb or if you have external cd rom drive. you can have a friend download a program to change the background on your computer if you like then transfer it to your computer using usb

You can upgrade the operating system to Windows 7 Home Premium to get more features, but it will cost. All you get is a new Windows Key to activate the Home Premium features - you should be able to buy this at most computer stores. To compare features, go to http://windows.microsoft.com/en-NZ/windows7/products/compare and click on the Feature Comparison tab.
