How to quit gracefully just after getting promoted?

How do I tell my parents I want to quit a sport?

• I've basically been playing soccer since i could walk and when i was younger, like around 7-10 years old, i used to play rec soccer and it was really fun and i loved playing it and excelled at it. so the next year my parents thought that i would have more fun playing travel soccer and that it would give me a challenge. so i went to the try out and make the B team. I played on that for about 2 years than i was promoted to the A team. And when i was on the B team practice was fun, i liked the other players, and i had lots of playing time and i had fun too. then on the A team, the other kids went as nice, i didn't get much playing time and i just wasn't having as much fun. Also when i was the B team my grades were pretty good around like 4 A's 2 B's a marking period. Then when i was the A team im getting like 2 A's 2 B's and like 2 C's and my parents are like pressuring me to do well in soccer and school and its hard. My school friends all play rec and really have fun doing it. i don't want to completely quit soccer, but i want to be with my friends and have a good time, but my im afraid that my parents are going to shocked and mad and upset if i tell them i don't want to play travel soccer anymore. Also im going to high school next year and my parents are expecting me to try out for the freshman team but i really don't want to play soccer that competitive anymore. and i just want to be with my friends and have a good time and i want to focus on my grades because i want to be a engineer when im older and before i always told my mom and dad i wanted to be a pro soccer player but that was when it was fun and now im just tired of it and im not having fun and my grades are that well either. but my parents will probably think im crazy if i ask them to quit travel because ive been playing it so long. And they already think im lazy becuase i just play on my xbox and computer all day but thats just becuase im just not having fun anymore.

  I would just adress to them and say hey mom the more competetive i get the more haarder it is to keep up with my grades and im tryin hard to get a good eductation and soccer is kind of gettin in the wayyy by the way how old are youu ???
