How to get iPod to sync with iTunes?

I have a 5th gen 64gb video ipod and i cant get videos to sync with it from itunes?

• it gives me a message saying cannot be played on this Ipod. These are videos purchased from itunes. ive authorized the computer and deauthorized and back still nothing..reset my ipod..nothing..these are videos i used to have on my ipod, so i know that they should play..i even tried converson software, but i cant get the video to show up on itunes..i click file then add to library and its nowhere to be found..any ideas whats going on. Are there any ways i can add videos to my ipod directly without having to deal with itunes?
