What is the process of getting accepted into different types of colleges?

I need to know the process of getting accepted into each of the following colleges: - vocational educational program - a two year community college - a 4 year university - the US armed forces This information isn't going to be used towards school. It's for my own personal benefit. I would lke to know the difference between all of them. I'm about to graduate high school. I don't want to go around & talk to different colleges. Any type of information will be useful. Thank you.
Answer:

All the same. You apply online you get an acceptance letter and then you get an award letter. The armed forces you sign a paper then they shove your *** to boot camp.
