How to put a key back onto an Apple laptop?

How to put apple software on a laptop that isn't apple?

  • Answer:

you mean the Apple Operating system or other Apple based software? For example iTunes is Apple software but there is a specific Windows PC version, likewise with things like Quick Time, the Safari browser and other Apple products, these have Windows alternative versions. If you mean the Apple OS, then as others have suggested you need to look up Hackingtosh, it is a method of running both the Windows OS And Mac OS on the same machine, usually done with Windows on the Mac rather than the other way around, but it can be done in certain circumstances where there are Mac drivers for the hardware in your PC.

What you are aiming to do is called a hackintosh... it can be done with some specific models of (non-Apple) laptops fairly easily, with some models more difficultly and for many it's completely impossible. Even when they 'work' some hardware may not work correctly or at all (for instance, no sound or only in sub-optimal resolution). Go search 'hackingtosh and yoru exact model and see if there is a recipe for it that someone has worked out. However bear in mind that Apple software is not legally to be used on any hardware not carrying an Apple logo. So a hackintosh is implicitly breaking the terms of Apple's license.
