How to pass the math and English on the GED Test?

Should I continue with these GED courses I'm taking or go back to High school?

  • I got kicked out of high school in November because I wrote about Religion as a topic for an English assignment I was doing for class. I didn't know I could get kicked out for it until I was told to leave school and not come back. I was a senior, and I'm 18 years old. I started taking GED courses in January, it's only twice a week, 6pm-9pm. You take these classes until YOU'RE ready to take your tests. I'm taking my GED courses at a small middle school around my house. And according to the school, I won't be getting a GED, I'll be getting my actual High school diploma if I pass my courses, and I'll be attending a GED graduation. But I honestly don't think I'll pass all my tests besides Reading, Writing, and Math. I think I'll fail the other ones. I study a lot and I'm taking tutoring classes over the weekend for this. I plan on taking the test within a month. But I'm contemplating whether I should just re-start my 12th grade year again at a different school and just start over. Any advice?

  • Answer:

I would restart the year. It may be a lot of work but it's a better way to guarantee that you will gain your diploma.

GEDs get discriminated against especially if you don't have a college degree. Do whatever you need to do to get a regular HS diploma. Also, it's total b.s. if you got kicked out for that ONE thing...
