What else can I do to improve a computers performance?

  • hey guys, so im a senior in highschool and looking for a way to make some cash without having to leave my home.. i was thinking about cleaning peoples computers and making it faster.. i even made fliers and signs.. I was thinking about installing "Ccleaner" on the persons computer and running the software and then installing a freeware antivirus.. but i feel like that isnt enough, i want people to notice the difference in speed and etc.. I was thinking on charging each person $25 .. my question is.. what is another thing i can do to satisfy my new "customers" ? thank you so much! appreciate it

  • Answer:

CCcleaner only clean up old file and registry. It doesn't tweak setting to make a computer to run fast. I am using PC cleaner pro now. Beside all those function CCcleare provided, PC cleaner Pro also clean up Hard driver clutter, Fix registry error. Stop unnecessary program to start up during boot, clear up hard drive space, remove spyware and adware and optimize windows's setting

Unless you really know what you are doing you could get yourself into some serous $hit! There are several things to do to "attempt" to regain performance, but done incorrectly could cause damage to people's data or hardware. This put you in a position to be sued in small claims court or just get you a fist full of knuckles!!! If you are genuinely interested in this field, take the time to learn, don't think installing and running some Freeware makes you a PC Technician...

If you want to satisfy them, you can show them how your "business" is nothing more than charging them for something they can easily do themselves for free, then offer them their money back. You won't earn much but your customers will be satisfied. Let's face it, based on this question, it's likely that you know about as much about customers as your clients. It's likely your laughably n00bish attempts at servicing computers will utterly fail, revealing you as an utterly ignorant and untrustworthy teen.

That honestly doesn't sound like a very promising business. You'd be installing freeware on people's computers and charging them for something that they could easily do by themselves for free. Do you have any experience in programming or computer science? Have you taken classes or previously worked in computer repairs?

Get thee to a nunnery!

Try removing some of their unused programmes, this can help speed up the computer's start up. Also removing the internet toolbars can help to load pages faster.
