What can i get for my laptop?

What is the most powerful laptop I can get for £250-£300?

  • I'm looking for knowledgeable people who are good with laptops. What's the most powerful laptop I can get for that price range? (Would translate to about $400-$480 USD). I'd like to be able to play games on there too - just whatever that price range could get me (I know I won't be able to play games like Battlefield 3 for that price but as I said, whatever I can get). Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  • Answer:

You cannot really buy a full sized laptop for £250-300, even very low powered budget laptops will set you back around £400-450 . It would have to be a "netbook" and they are very slow, very limited in features and capabilities and very bad value. If that is the maximum of your budget you would be better off buying a tablet instead. If you really need a laptop then your best bet will be something like the Dell Inspiron 15R. It has integrated graphics [not not at all suitable for games, maybe some older strategy and role playing games at very low settings] but has a decent enough 2nd gen Intel i3 CPU, a good 15.6 inch screen, 4GB RAM and a 500GB hard drive. But it will set you back £400 Sorry forgot the link, full review and specs here: http://www.pcadvisor.co.uk/reviews/laptop/3314137/dell-inspiron-15r-review/
