What is your career? Do you love it?

Good at drawing, love computers. What career is good for me?

  • I was set on being a graphics designer as a teenager, but became more realistic as an adult. I was deciding on Accounting or Pharmacy, leaning more towards Accounting. I'm good at drawing. Not good with coloring/shading, though. Been using computers since I was a kid in 1999. Math was my strong point in HS but I didn't enjoy it much. I feel like I am lost. I want to do Accounting since it is in demand, but am scared I might ask myself,"Do I want to do this for the rest of my life?" when it's too late! Pharmacy seems like my kind of job, but I fear I'm not that competitive. My interests seem unrealistic in the real world, but I have some faith in my talents. Name a few careers for me that is somewhat to really in demand.

You really are lucky! You know Math, Computers, Accounting and Pharmacy. Those are four subjects that are in demand. Think about being a CPA or Pharmacy. Don't feel lost. You have all kinds of good options. Here's one more, if you feel insecure about the economy: Teach one of those favorite courses at the college level. The pay is great, your schedule is flexible with a lot of free time, and, after a few years, you a basically guaranteed a great job for life (it is called "tenure"). If you want some solid feedback, contact your Psychology Department and sign up for an "Interest Inventory" test. It will tell you exactly what jobs fit your personality. Don't let iindecision slow you down. Set some kind of goal. Even if you change to a new goal, you are still moving forward. I think that you will do very well.

Architecture. Math/design based career; design buildings and figure out the dimensions on them, then watch them become real (: Or graphic artist? (NEVERMIND. Totally missed the first sentence!)
