Did you have any cramping in early pregnancy?

Did you have cramping in early pregnancy?

  • I am currently 5 1/2 weeks pregnant and don't go se my Dr for the first appt until I am 9 weeks. I have had cramping for a couple of weeks now and I don't remember this with my first pregnancy. Lately, it just seems to be a pain there all day like I am about to get my period, but every once in a while a sharper pain either in my lower abdomen or even on the side of my stomach. Has anyone experienced this? I am currently waiting for the doctor to call me back about the cramps/pain, but wanted to see if anyone else had this in early pregnancy.

  • Answer:

I am almost 7 weeks pregnant and I have cramping also. This is also my second pregnancy. I don't see my doctor until I am 8 and 1/2 weeks pregnant. But I've looked around online and it is just our uterus stretching making room for baby. Since we have been pregnant once our bodies remember what they need to be doing. Mine was really bad from like 5 weeks till 7 weeks. It is tapering off now a little bit. Not so noticeable! Good luck in your pregnancy!

I had the worst pain in my lower abdomen from about 5 weeks pregnant up until 10 weeks. My midwife assured me that it was normal. It was a mixture of stabs, period pains, a lower backache and a general soreness in the abdomen and back. The pain was really bad that I was scared that something could be wrong. But everything turned out OK. Remember that every pregnancy is different and there is no reason that you have to feel the way you did the last time. Don't worry and congratulations.

Hi, congratulations on the baby! I cramped up until I was about 10 weeks with my son. The cramps I had sound similar to yours. It's normal to cramp especially if this is your first pregnancy. It means your uterus is growing to make room got baby! Some woman even spot. Anywho, it sounds normal. Good luck with your little blessing!

I'm just curious.
