Why do I have a sharp pain in my head?

Sharp pain in my head?

  • I have experienced this before but it doesn't happen often. Since yesterday morning I've had these random sharp stabbing pains in my head. They started on the right side towards my temple and now they're on the left side more towards the top of my head. Every 5 minutes or less I get a jolt of this pain that lasts about 1 second. When I touch that area of my head right after the pain comes, it hurts. I took some Ibuprofen that worked for about an hour yesterday and only half an hour today before the pain started happening again. I don't have any other symptoms. I doubt this is anything serious, but I'm wondering if I should go to the doctor if it persists for another day? What could be causing this?

  • Answer:

It could be small migraines but you could have hit your head and it's causing that. Or you could have something caused by your neck, eyes, nose, mouth, etc. I think if it happens to again go to a doctor because you want to be very careful when it comes to your head.
