How can I download free movies for a Macbook?

How to transfer data from a Dell Laptop to a MacBook Pro 13"?

  • Hey guys. Just bought a MacBook Pro and my first Apple computer :) My question is how do I transfer my photo's, music, word documents etc to my new laptop? I have an external harddrive with it all on there so do I just plug that in and drag it onto the desktop? I have Office for Mac - should I install that first and should I download itunes first as well? Also can movies, tv shows etc bought on itunes be copied and pasted or is there a better method to transfer them? Thanks guys !!

Well congratulations on a new computer! Yes! To transfer your data, you need an external harddrive that is able to connect with Mac OS X. (A FAT file format, old harddrives, will also work) Once you have an external harddrive, transfer your data from your old computer to your harddrive. After that, plug your external harddrive to your MacBook Pro and copy the data to my documents (or whereever you like it) on your Mac. Yes, install Microsoft Office 2011, if you have this version. iTunes is already installed by default, you do no need to reinstall it again. Save your movies onto your computer first and then add movies onto iTunes as if you would add music to iTunes. Install this on your Mac so it can read and write on NTFS volumes created by Windows: http://download.cnet.com/NTFS-3G/3000-2094_4-10913782.html Just drag and drop (copy and paste) the files. Install any programs you like on your Mac. To get your iTunes on your Mac, sync them on iCloud from your Dell laptop, sign off, sign in on your Mac and re-sync: https://www.icloud.com/
