Why am I afraid of infatuation?

Why there are no pills to treat problems like grief, infatuation yet?

  • Wouldn't it be great if researchers can find a pill to cure grief over 'spilled milk'. Medications which can safely restore hormones to normal level. Such designer drugs will help the people stricken with common negative emotions like grief, infatuation, feeling of retribution/anger etc. (Person who has gone through grief and infatuation knows how painful is the phase, till it heals). I mean the emotions which are related to day to day ups and downs of life. And which heal with time. Pharma giants should take research on such designer drugs, for them, it may bring financial windfall. I wonder despite of such tremendous advancements in neuroscience there is no drug to treat a common and painful hormonal imbalance like infatuation/heartbreak? Why? Is there any such research in pipeline?

    Why would anyone want to take a pill to feel like a robot? Times of adversity are the times we as humans tend to grow the most mentally, emotionally and spiritually. Yes it is painful at times, but that is what makes us human and that's how we learn.
