Is there any way I can make my youtube channel private?

YouTube channel help? It's using my google information.?

  • I am trying to make a YouTube channel that doesn't have my personal information out there. I logged in with my gmail username, which I do not mind. However, it took all my information from Google+ including my profile picture and full name and displayed it on my profile. I just uploaded a demo video, and then my full name with a space in between the first name and last name showed up just as it is, for the user who uploaded it. I want to make a YouTube channel without this Google+ linking. Even if it does, I want to have a username that I can use instead of my full name. Is there a way that I can conceal my personal information without YouTube displaying my Google+ profile, or me having to make a second account? Reply fast and soon. Thank you.

go to the youtube settings http://www.youtube.com/account_manage under "channel settings" , there is an option "Rename channel with channel URL and hide the Google Profile information associated with it." that should work
