What is the best thing to do with my money?

• I'm 16 and want to take $5-6 thousand and invest it or do something that will make me money from it. I want to duplicate my money. What are my options? Stock market? Would I actually make money from it and is this a good option? What are my other options? Any advice on what to do with my money, how to invest, or anything else you know of, is greatly appreciated. Thanks Please don't give me the "go get a job to make money" spiel. Working somewhere like Mcdonalds for $7.50 an hour doesn't interest me. That little amount of money is nothing in the real world.

  mcdonalds. $7.50 for 25 hours a week= $1125.00 w/o taxes. It's called a summer job. - Okay, okay, fine. Two days a week. Lets say you want to work for 5 hours, Saturday and Sunday. You got a good 75 dollars right there. Work for 4 weeks total, and you got 300 dollars w/o taxes. You get money, and your not sitting on your lazy butt the whole time. - im just saying you need to get off your butt.
