Yes, it is, im assuming your using windows 7, so with this you can create something called a home/workgroup and share files between the computers on the network, to do this, right click the icon on your task bar that you use to connect to your wifi, and hit "Open Network and Sharing Center" and on the right hand side of the screen, there should be something that says homegroup, click this, and you should be able to start setting up your homegroup, this provides step by step directions on how to do this, hope this helped, oh, and you can specify which types of files you would like to share, which can be helpful
do this exactly. open the control panel then open system and security then open system. Write down your computer name. Now make a folder called share. Right click it and click properties go to the sharing tab. Click share and click the arrow select everyone then click on the arrow beside read and select read and write. Then click share. then done. Now click on advanced sharing and check the box share this folder. Leave the share name as it is. and click ok. Now on the computer you want to connect from open any file browsing window. One way to do this is clicking on the start menu and clicking on computer. or my computer on your desktop if it's older than windows vista. Now type this in \\computername There you go. It will now connect to the computer name that you typed in and you can upload and download files from it. If it asks for a password/username just type in the ones for that computer that you use to login.
