After Effects CS 5.5 - how to make an object move (fly) into a frame from a location?
-
I need a simple 2d animation of a pillar appearing to rise out of a hole (black oval). I would like the pillar to be masked out of the shot until it has reached the hole location, thus producing the effect. I am an after effects amateur, but am familiar with masking in photoshop. The mask that I've created myself in the shot will not remain in place, and instead insists upon moving with the object as I adjust it's position. I'm not even confident that the mask I've created would opaque the pillar even if it remained in a single position. Any advise would be greatly appreciated!
