Do braces hurt? If so on a scale of 0-100 ..how much ? && What is the most painful step?

I won't lie to you, they can HURT. However, don't panic! The painful part only comes when they tighten your braces periodically. Apart from that, you'll be fine and they don't hurt at all! (Just don't eat chewing gum!) You'll be fine:)

Well for me it didn't hurt when the were put on but stated hurting a few hours later and stayed that way for a day or two. I'd put it at 35 on your pain scale. Not really bad or anything but definitely unpleasant and I was glad when it went away. Just be a soldier and suffer through :)

Naa I have overcrowded teeth and two teeth had to be pulled out to create room but the braces ache a little bit for 2-4 days after being fitted then u get used to them and then ache for about 1 day after being fitted but it doesnt hurt on a scale of 0-100 I'd say in the first 2-3 days 25 then the 4th day 10 thn the next days 0

They don't hurt when they're putting them on, they hurt the next couple days after.

I didn't think it was that bad when I had them. It might be a little sore a couple days after you get them adjusted. I think the worst for me was when they put springs on the wire to try to push my teeth apart. Sometimes the spring would pinch my tongue but I didn't have to wear those for long. I had to learn not to pick at it. Make sure you brush and floss a lot. Stuff can get under there - I was told horror stories about having white squares on my teeth after they came off because the teeth were cleaner under the brackets, but that didn't happen. Don't try to bite into apples or anything like that. Cut it up. No taffy or really sticky thick candy. They said no gum but I chewed it anyway - make sure it's sugar free or it can stick. They might poke you sometimes, but they should give you some wax to put over it to cover up the problem area.
