Where to find good ip proxies?

  • I have a competitor that has a flagging software that is able to wipe my ads off of craigslist. I know exactly who it is because he has sent me emails saying it is him. So I have bought some similar software, only to show him that I am also capable of this, to hopefully get him to stop and to share the site. I have no plans of using this for anything aside from that. So I need good working proxies to load into the software. I have paid for a daily list to be emailed to me and scraped the softwares site for their daily updates. However, none of these have worked. So then I got a proxy checker software that apparently checks to see if the proxies work. I have then loaded the ones that it tells me work, only to have them still not work. What am I doing wrong and where can I get good working proxies. The site I have currently been using is hidemyass. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks

Hi Dusty, I tried the freebie route and initially it was exhausting. There are different types of proxies, some for email, others for forum posting and programs like scrapebox so you have to pay attention to which ones you use. There are also transparent proxies that reveal your ip address. Free proxies are good for a short time, so by the time a free list is mailed to you the proxies have been used by people around the world. Paid proxies run about 10 for $30 and are worth it. If you go the freebie route forget the mailed list and use the freshest ones first. So with a site like HMA you would use the last 20 high speed fast, relatively anonymous proxies. Make sure that you are entering the port in the correct format : or you will not be able to connect.
