How do i get rid of lines on laptop screen?

• i know what causes it [from answers i got last time] but i still don't know how to fix it. it was from closing my laptop too much before shutting down or logging off. the lines look like static on a tv screen, and pop up randomly i have used my laptop in safe mode, did a few virus scans, and cleaned my registry & that didn't fix it what else can i do? something that doesn't involve buying expensive stuff... i'm not really a computer expert either, i'm only 15, i didn't even set up most of the stuff i have

  Take it to a computer shop and ask how much it will cost to get the data cable replaced. I've got the same problem but can't replace the cable because I was dumb enough to get a MacBook. It may not cost too much to replace the data cable, but you'll never know unless you ask a computer expert.
