How can I help a bruised finger?

I think i have bruised/broken my finger. Help!?

  • So I was playing rugby today and when I tackled a guy I really hurt my finger. It's the very top joint of my finger that is swollen. I am holding my finger sort of in a curved position towards my hand and it is reducing the pain but it is VERY sore to bend my finger outwards.I have tried and can move the first joint on the finger fine and can just barely move the top joint where it is swollen. I'm wondering what you guys think before I go to a hospital because the closest one is quite far away. So please leave a reply telling me what you think, Thanks!

  • Answer:

If it hurts REALLY badly go to your local doctor just for check up. If it hurts bad, ice it for about 1-2 hours a day for two or three days, and take pain relievers. If it still hurts and or cant move it go to your local doctor.

It's probably not necessary to go to the hospital at the moment, but i would see a doctor. Even if it's not broken it may be fractured or something, so just go to a doctor's office.
