How to fix error LNK2019?

How to fix an error message on my laptop (10-points)?

  • Recently I got an error message (Non-system disk or disk error replace and strike any key when ready) and ever since that showed up I can not go into any other screen every time I restart it and let it load it directly takes me to that same error message is there any way that I can get around this error ? I've tried for 2 straight days I've been without internet use and I am beginning to be frustrated with it . I have a windows xp professional the model is sd.ms/pro.mmc.xd and the compaq nc 6320 if I put the windows xp disk that it came with when I first bought it will that fix this problem/error ? If so is there any store (I do not wish to purchase it online) that I can purchase the disk at ? Best answer will be chosen any answers are greatly appreciated I just want this error to be gone period . Thank you to those that answer my question .

    my suggestion, send it to a computer repair, then upgrade to 7, do not get vista, you will regret it if you do
