Why do I have a sharp pain in my lower left arm?

Sharp stabbing pain in the center/left side of my chest and down my left arm?

  • I am a 15 year old girl I am 5'3 I weigh 110 lbs. I have had chest pains through out my whole life. I went to the ER last year because of chest pains but they didn't find anything wrong. I have the loss of breath at times but not all the time. Today at school in 1st period the center/left side of my chest, the left side of my collar bone and down my arm. Its a sharp stabbing pain and it lasts for 5-10 seconds and goes away, then 5 or something minutes later it comes back and does the same thing? I'm really worried because I have had things like this going on for most of my life. What do you think and what should I do?

  • Answer:

See a heart doctor and a psychiatrist. You may have angina. Pain of the heart. There's therapy for that ,you may also have anxiety there's treatments for that as well. Even do nothing shows on tests it does not mean its not the heart, sometimes our hearts swell up and cause pain for no reasons at all . Maybe you need anti inflamitorys?
