How to lucid dream? Secret to get one by tonight?

One time at the end of one dream i realized that none of it was real and that I was dreaming; however, I woke up few seconds after realizing this. A few days ago, at the beginning of one dream, I kept on looking at my hands and realized that i was dreaming. So I decided to manipulate my dream and make it the way I wanted it to be but I kept on failing. I wondered why. Then I woke up, except not in real life but in the dream. When I woke up, I didn't realize that I was still in a dream. It was like inception or something. Except when I REALLY woke up, I realized that I almost had a legit lucid dream. I don't know what I did to get that close to lucid dreaming and I really want to. I heard lucid dreaming is really cool

It's really hard but try this.. I couldn't find this online but it worked for me. You know bineural beats? Those are garbage. Don't use them. Try playing your mp3 player to some really familiar songs and keep it playing all night. When you are dreaming, you may be able to still hear the songs. Being that they are so familiar, you will recognize that you are in a dream. For your problem with the hands, it takes time and devotion to lucid dream. Once you get it a couple of times, you will be able to change what is happening. Oh also ~ Try repeating to yourself 'I will have a lucid dream.'. It's been shown that it helps a lot. Keeping a mantra like that will help. You don't need to say it out loud.. just think of it when you're dozing off.

I have heard that if you keep a dream book where after waking up you write in it everything you can remember from your last dream. Another thing is to get a habit of looking at your hands, looking at your watch or something like that while you are awake, than in your dream you will do it and remind yourself that you are dreaming. Now for staying in the dream without waking up, What you wanna do is when you find out that it is not real in your dream try spinning in a circle and try not to panic, just in your dream spin in a circle a few times (I know it sounds weird) and calm yourself and you should be able to stay in the dream, once you feel relaxed you can do what ever you want. :D

I have also heard though that if you do something constantly throughout the day, like periodically, to check if your awake, then you are likely to build a habit & do it in your sleep which might get you into the thinking mode while you are asleep. For example say every hour you snap your fingers, or rub your hands together, or jump up and down, eventually you might to that in your dream, and it kind of jolts you mind and you wake it up a bit.
