What Law and Order show was this?

Does anyone remember a show, just like Law and Order, that was real?

  • It had cameras in the courtroom, police station, and lawyers rooms. It was edited to look just like a fictional crime show (just like Law and Order... black screen with locations and gavel sounds, and everthing); The cases were real - the footage real... just edited so as to be entertaining like an episode of Law and Order would be. I only remember seeing a couple episodes. One with a rape, and one where a man killed his wife/girlfriend and pleaded insanity claiming that "The Knife" did it. This show was fantastic, and I'd love to remember what it was. For years I thought it was called Law and Order: Criminal Intent... but of course that's not it!

  • Answer:

There was a show called Crime & Punishment that was a spin-off of Law & Order which focused on real cases. It was basically a documentary version of the L&O franchise.
