Some cool pc video games?

Can I install a virtual video card to play higher level games on my PC?

  • I would reaalllly like to play World of tanks on my PC, but i don't have the money to buy a decent one. I've heard of installing a virtual video card which boosts your originals' capability, but I think that WoT is still to high-end to be playable. Here are my PC stats Build: Dell Dimension 3100 CPU: Pentium 4 3Ghz RAM: 1Gb DDR2 (plan to upgrade to 2gb DDR2) Operating System: Windows XP SP3 Video Card: Intel 82915G/GV/910GL 128Mb Express Chipset Hard Disk: 187Gb Sound: SigmaTel HD Audio CODEC So my issue is that I need a better video card, but I can't put a new one in my PC. I need a minimum of 256Mb of VRAM and Pixel Shader and Vertex version 2 to play it. So, would instaling a virtual memory card allow me to play this game (on low graphics, of course) using my current platform. If so, thanks a bunch, if not, could you tell me a good, yet affordadle high-performance PC.

  • Answer:

no, a graphic card is what you need and it is a physical thing with extra processing power for exactly what games do, there is no software that can give you an actual real processor for example. its like idk send a text to your phone and suddenly your car runs better. there is also no reason to upgrade your computer to start with as everything is to old to be of any real performace gain with a new (even a low end) graphic card. the only software that can increase performace is the newest drivers for things to work as they should or more optimized. if you want something good and affordable for gaming, do not, whatever you do buy a already built computer in a shop, they are so overpriced its not even funny (in almost all cases that is, so in general so to say.)

yes you can get a new one, just make sure the one you buy is a good enough improvement for the money. Just take the side off your computer and it should be visable, video cards all look similar, just take out the old one and put in the new one

There's a program called 3d Analyser, it uses ram to run a virtual graphics card, that's my understanding. I don't know much more about it, sorry.
