Can I Go To the sand dunes?

Location of Sand dunes the are for off road vehicles.?

  • i was wondering if anyone knew of some locations that i can go to be able to go off roading with my atv. i want to go to a sand dune because i love them so much but the only one around my house is the silver lake sand dunes. i do like it there but i want to experience the bigger and better ones of america. i would like to know what the dunes are called and where they are at. i know of pismo beach, glamis, the little sahara, and a few more, but i would like to find one closer to michigan. SO does any one know of a sand dune close to michigan that you can ride off road vehicles on? and i would like to know of the ones far away as well. one day i will hit all the big dunes in america. i do not know how to reply so i used this. yes i know the harm of sand. it gets everywhere and is really bad for ur equipment. the plus side is that it is the most fun place you can ride. i love the dunes and i take very good care of my equipment. every winter i take apart my quad and replace what is destroyed or broken and clean the entire quad. it is my hobby to ride so i dont mind to fix things up while i am at it. plus the more i tear it apart the more power i can pu tinto it. to a certain point. i do not know how to reply so i used this. yes i know the harm of sand. it gets everywhere and is really bad for ur equipment. the plus side is that it is the most fun place you can ride. i love the dunes and i take very good care of my equipment. every winter i take apart my quad and replace what is destroyed or broken and clean the entire quad. it is my hobby to ride so i dont mind to fix things up while i am at it. plus the more i tear it apart the more power i can pu tinto it. to a certain point.

  • Answer:

well you may change your mind when you find out how bad sand can ruin your atv. It gets in everywhere and eventually takes its toll on your beairngs and chain and sprockets and just about anywhere else sand can get too. Replacing oil seals on wheels and making sure air fliters are tight and changing the oil often are all really good ideas when blasting around in sand.
