    Once a yahoo account is deleted you will have 90 days to reactivate it by calling 866-562-7219.(6a-6p PST) Make sure you get a LIVE operator by punching the right number(I have the best luck with #2) All your present information in the deleted account will be held IN that account for that 90 days. I recently found that if you can remember the ID and Password you can try to log in within a certain time and Yahoo will give you steps to reactivate the account. Normally, once the 90 days has elapsed, your account information will be deleted and non retrievable. If it is close to the 90 days you might still give it a try. Note: If the account has not been used for 4 months then Yahoo has deleted it. Your ID will be available for a new account, but it will also be available for someone else if they beat you to it. good luck

If you deleted your account it's gone, just add request a new account and if the name is not taken by someone else you can get it back. Another trick I learned to get it back is, on an existing account get a second email address. Yahoo lets you have multiple email addresses under the same account name. What that will do is give you an alias and you will be able to use it for both email and in chat. Yahoo lets you have up to 8 allies's per account. I did that once and it let me have my deleted name back and all my old emails and contacts came back with it. As Someone else has already answered how to do this I have put the link to it for your use.
