Help me! when you start singing lessons does it matter if your good?

As with anything that you have to learn, everyone starts somewhere. They'll teach you whatever you need to know. If you have no real singing experience, they'll probably teach you the whole 'do re mi' practice, and maybe vocal endurance to teach you proper breathing and how to hold a note for extended periods. Don't worry about it too much, they'll teach you whatever you need to know.

It deosn't matter if you're a good or bad singer! When you start your 1st singing lessons, your teacher will not be laughing at you if you have a very bad singing voice. He/she is just going to tell you what you need to work on(in a good way!) Everybody starts somewhere! I started as bad:/ Lol! Just sing normally like you'd do when you're singing in the shower! It doesn't matter if you have a good/bad singing voice! If your voice is good, great! If your voice is bad, don't worry! You'll learn about some singing tips tomorrow when you start your lessons! No, you do not have to be a good singer to take singing lessons, just like you don't have too be a good pianist to take piano lessons! They will definatly help yo improve! What I did in my first lesson was, my teacher asked me my name, age, any previous experience with music and singing (piano lessons, chorus) then we did some vocal warm ups and sang a song that I already new (most teachers will have big books of songs and yo can choose one that you would like to sing and they will accompany you on the piano!
