Is there a program that can play wii games?

Is it possible to play certain Wii multi-player games offline with more than one wii's to the router.?

Ad-hoc connections are direct connections from device to device without the use of a central node to facilitate communications (such as bluetooth connections).

While the Wii can do some local WiFi stuff, it's only restricted to Wii-DS... If the multiplayer game requires internet access to play, you cannot set up a simple LAN since the games will try to connect to Nintendo's NWC servers to handle the gameplay connections. So just stick to local multiplayer games as you'll crush your internet connection otherwise.

That's called an Ad-Hoc network, and no. Wii is not capable of doing that. All you can do is connect to Nintendo WFC.
