  • Answer:

Of those three cards, the Radeon HD 6670 is best. The (now discontinued) Radeon HD 5670 is about 10% slower than the 6670, while the GeForce GT 440 and Radeon HD 6570 have about identical performance. The GT 440 is just a GT 240 replacement with DX11 support added. http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/radeon-hd-6570-radeon-hd-6670-turks,2925-7.html http://www.techspot.com/review/240-ati-radeon-hd-5670/page4.html http://www.techpowerup.com/reviews/ASUS/GeForce_GT_440/20.html For any of these cards be sure to get the GDDR5 version, not the slower GDDR3 version. The memory type is much more important than whether the card has 1GB or 512MB, since at 1600x900 you'll never use more than 512MB of video RAM anyway. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814121442 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814102934 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814134138 Given it's low price, the 6570 is a great deal for the money. If you're looking for the best card that works on a stock 300-400W power supply without requiring external power, that's the new Radeon HD 7750. It costs $110 but it performs in between the Radeon HD 6750 and 6770. Those are all good cards for gaming at 1600x900. Of course for really demanding titles like Battlefield 3, Metro 2033 and Crysis you'd only be able to run on high or medium settings, these cards are nowhere near powerful enough for ultra (except for easier games like WoW)
