Why do Blacks vote 90 per cent Democrat and for Obama, when I'm Jewish and I don't usually vote for Jews?

I think people who live in cities tend to go for Dems and rural/suburban people like the GOP. Most black people live in the cities so they tend to vote Democratic as most white people that live in cities do.

I doubt it's 90 percent, but I can tell you this: Every single person that abuses welfare can't afford to vote republican because they're the only people willing to stop handing out unemployment checks.

It's mostly a historical thing. It all started with the New Deal. Before that, blacks only voted and ran for office as Republican. They were a conservative and religious community, and still are to a certain extent. But the New Deal changed all of that. Even though most Republicans voted for the Civil rights act, something rather nasty transpired on both sides of the isle. Many Republicans were saying things like "we've done enough for blacks" and the Dems, a party previously notorious for it's racism world wide, started to pander for votes. Promising things that never really helped the black community, and made them more dependent on government. A lot of Dems switched to the GOP, just because they wanted nothing to do with black folks. They found sympathizers with the "We've done enough" crowd in the GOP, and formed an alliance or joined the GOP. Black people saw this as a sign of hostility towards them, that the GOP would allow these men in their party. Folks like Dr. King and other black leaders left the party for good as a result of this and a few other compounding events. That and LBJ masterfully played the media during the civil rights act. Managing to not only go along with the "Southern Strategy", but making it play right into his hands. He said something along the lines of "I'll have those n****** voting democratic for the next 200 years". This, much like the civil war, was not for moral authority, but a mere game of pandering and profit. Thomas Sowell was really one of my biggest inspirations. You should check out some of his work.
