Why do I get headaches when I work out?

So I have never really workout all that much, but I started to this week. The first couple days I was perfectly fine, but then I workout with a friend who pushed me really hard on a leg workout day. I all of a sudden got this massive headache. I could not continue working out, when I would stop it got better but once I started again it would immediately get worse. Then the next day it hurt so much again that I couldn't workout at all. At first I thought I was sick or it was because I was new to working out, but then I looked online and it seems many people have this problem and I have narrowed it down to two things. Either I strained something in my neck, that hurts my head during physical activity, or I got a Primary Exertional Headache. My neck doesn't hurt, and I don't feel it in the back of my head, more of the whole right side. So I think it is a PEH. Does anyone know how long I should wait before I start working out again? Or is there something else wrong with me. Id like to get back as soon as possible because I was so excited to finally start working out. I am going to see a doctor in a few days, but I am afraid they might shrug it off or misdiagnose it seeing as it is kind of vague. Any help would be appreciated thanks

Headaches are common when working out beause all of your body (including you brain) is connected so i think you might have tired you body out making your brain tier out so then it hurt. Hope this helped. :)
