What group of people/culture should I write my Archaeology paper on?

  • I have to write a paper for my Archaeology class and I'm not sure what to write it about. Here are the details: "The paper for this class will be a discussion of a specific culture’s “archaeological history”. You will be describing the use of archaeology in studying that particular culture. This paper will require outside reading and proper citation of at least three outside sources. Please make your choice ASAP and let me know. If you need help choosing a culture I can assist. Some questions to consider: -Identify your culture and its location, timeframe, it existed etc., -What was known about this culture before archaeological discoveries?, -Was there a bias against or for this culture before archaeological excavation?, -Who were/are some of the leading archaeologists specializing in that culture?, -Describe the pattern that the archaeological excavations occurred. Paper Guidelines: minimum 5 pages, 12 pt Times New Roman or Arial font, double-spaced" I thought about doing a culture from South America, but I can't seem to find a lot of information that is archaeology related to help decide. Any suggestions?
