How can I get money for school?

How can i get money for school beeing a single mom?

  • Ever since me and my ex husband separated (divorced recently because he dragged his feet on it for almost two in a half years) i haven't been able to pay off the online school i was in. I'm almost finished and they said if i could come up with the money that i could pick up where i left off and i could get my high school diploma and start college classes. but every time i got to look into Google about it it says i have to apply for a grant and so much paper work, when all i need is just under 500$ to pay it off...i live in a house with my new boyfriend, and i have a new baby on the way, all of our money goes into bills and food, and anything else my daughter might need, and his hours were cut so hes not making as much, and we do get child support for my daughter but its not much and its never on time, and I'd NEVER spend a dime of that money on myself because its for my little girl. So how do i got about getting a single moms money grant without all the headache of paper work and getting the run-around or having to do a loan & pay back money that i wont have?? (im in the state of florida if that helps...) well i know that no one will just "give" me money for it thats obvious, and i dont mind doing some paperwork for it, i just dont know how to apply for the right grant, and there ARE single mom grants out there...and getting pregnant wassent planned and at least im trying to better myself insted of judgeing people like assholes. thanks for your NO help obviously you can offer anything so why even comment? thanks...alot. .

    All you are looking for is to get your GED? Did you know the bookstores have really good books on this? Maybe a $30 book is all you need. I'm not sure how much the GED costs, I think about $70. I am a strong believer that you can self-teach yourself anything. I have learned a lot from books. They are very simple to follow.

I really don't think there is such a thing as a "single mom's grant". Or getting grant money without some paperwork. Headache for you or not. No one is going to give you money without paperwork. So you use some of the child support money to pay it off. That - in the long run - is benefiting your child, isn't it? We won't even talk about having ANOTHER child when you are not financial stable .

Go with the flow

There are local agencies that offer the GED free of charge. You don't have to pay for it. If you goal is to get a job, you can do that without a GED. Having more children makes getting an education impossible. If you want some help or a "grant" of handout, there will always be paperwork. No one will just hand you money.
