How to build a gaming desktop computer?

I would like to build a gaming desktop computer, but what should I buy for it?

  • I want to build a high end gaming deskop. I have already decided on a cooler master HAF 932 Advanced case, an antec TPQ 1200 power supply. I would like to have over 8gb of ram and a good GeForce card with a strong motherboard. However I am not a computer geek and I have no idea what I am doing. So, please feel free to leave any suggested motherboards CPUs, and other things. I have been looking at the intel extreme series motherboards, so can you please tell me what I should get and why? Also if you think there's a better case or power supply please add. THANKS!!! -Adam

If that is the case you want there is not much more you could really get. I mean really your case has little to do with performance mostly just the airflow. Go ahead and go with that case. Maybe you might want to reconsider the power supply. With that power supply you could burn out your computer if you don't know what you are doing. Honestly, I'm going to give you a good high-end computer build that I would recommend. Power Supply:APEVIA WARLOCK POWER ATX-WA900W http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817148036 CPU:Intel Core i7-2600K Sandy Bridge 3.4GHz (Very Expensive but great performance) http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819115070 OR Intel Core i5-2500K Sandy Bridge 3.3GHz http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819115072 MOBO: Intel BOXDH67BLB3 LGA 1155 Intel H67 HDMI SATA (Keep in mind this is Micro ATX, which means your case needs to support Micro ATX) http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813121506 CPU Cooler: Really you can pick anyone its up to you. Ram: Now for the ram you do not really need more than 8Gb. If you want, you could buy more but 8 is enough.) GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 590 And of course you will need a hard drive.
