How do make a website and make money from it?

If I created a website that compares prices of drum sets, how much money could I make with this?

  • Let's say that I created a website that compared prices of specific drumsets from dozens of different online stores and it was the only website of this kind that existed. How much money do you think I could make by having such a website (by running advertisements on my site, and possibly charging a small fee to have the companies listed on my website)? I realize that this type of thing already kind of exists, but let's pretend it didn't. I'm trying to learn about just how much money a unique, yet small, website can make.

I can't see you making much from it. Not just from drumsets anyway, there can't be a huge demand-supply for them. If you did it for ALL instruments, there could be potential there, I guess. All depends on how much demand there is for instruments and if there really is huge competition with prices between stores.

Sites like Musicians Friend, Sam Ash Music, Zzounds, etc., already offer pretty much what you have in mind, and not just for drums. A "unique, yet SMALL, website"? What is that? Advertisers have no interest in "small", low traffic websites.

U shouldn't limit it to drumsets ,if u expand it to other instruments, mobile phone electronic items, cars etc then u couldake some serious cash here Good luck with ur website :)
