What products can absorb and store light energy other than a solar panel?

  • Solar panels are only able to use light energy from the sun if the sun is out. If it's a cloudy day outside, then the solar panels won't get any energy. I heard about something here while back that will absorb light energy from light in general. For example, it could be raining outside but as long as it's daylight it's still absorbing light energy. This means that it would gather more light energy than a traditional solar panel. Anyone know what this product is?
