Anyone have advertisement ideas for Eurostar?

Advertisement ideas anyone?

  • Based from the story Flowers For Algernon (In the story a man named Charlie has an unusually low IQ and agrees to undergo lobotomy-He returns a smarter man) So as a class assignment, we are to create an advertisement promoting this advertisement and why people should pay thousands of dollars to raise their IQ to that of the average genius. As far out as it sounds, it has to be serious :P Does anyone have ideas as to how to convince a certain audience to go through this surgery? I'm thinking about the target audience being older seniors. Thanks so much!

  • Answer:

First I have to ask, why older seniors? It seems like it would be something that a younger professional crowd would be interested in. Seniors have lived their life, why do they need to be at a genius level now? Just a suggestion of course, but I would consider marketing this procedure to a lower age bracket, it seems they would benefit more from it. You need to convince your target audience that the procedure is worth it despite any risks. Build value in what you're selling. Show your potential customers the benefits, how it will improve them or help improve their life. Why should you pay thousands of dollars to increase your IQ? It could give you an edge over your competitors, it could reduce your stress levels by allowing you to come up with solutions to your everyday dilemmas easier, it could help you gain a deeper understanding of yourself, the people around you and the way things work. Once you figure out the benefits to your audience, it will be a lot easier to think of a way to tell them. A commercial featuring before/after patient interviews could work for this type of thing. They talk about what their life was like before the procedure, then after. Drastic changes in status, lifestyle, happiness, financial freedom, health... all of these things can peak the viewer's attention. The commercial could lead viewers to a website and/or toll free number where they can learn more and ask any questions they have. Best of luck to you!
