I got into a car accident? please help me?

• okay so it was a really rainy day and i was on the job to go do some sales, im a door to door sales man. i have no insurance because i cant afford at the moment mine just expired earlier this month and so i was planning to recover it by next friday! so anyways as i was going off the ramp to merge in the highway and you know theres these stop lights on the ramp to stop before you go? well there was a car infront of me that was waiting to turn green, i thought i slowed down enough but i didnt, and so i slammed on the breaks and i skid like 30 feet and bumped to his back of his car, his car resulted a paint scratches only, he wasnt injured, so i was so worried i'll pay for his result... he said how much i was willing to give, i said 1000, but he wanted 1500 and he will let me walk away without reporting anything cuz i have no insurance... so i went to the bank and gave him 1500 and he also has my driver license and info and everything! he told me he wasnt trying to make money off me but he said i am very lucky that i hit him cuz he wont report the cops to me... i even wrote a note that said "i hereby acknowledge to by fault ***** ***** that i am reliable for the damages and pay 1500 in cash today" did you think he set me up??? please i want to know!!! im trusting him! if he reports me im gonna lose my license because i already have 2 previous accountable faults on my record!

  Well there is a possibility, he took advantage with that accident, oh men it was only scratches, and you paid for $1500?he did that because you are afraid to be reported at the police station. Of course you had a mistake driving with out an insurance and you bumped his car. The cause would be double case. And I know you don't have a choice was to accept the agreement. If he will file a report, then I advice to get an attorney to help you and file him as well an ESTAFA since you have an evidence right? you signed an agreement. maybe it could be lessen the double case.
