Movie monologues? opposite of regina george?
-
i need to perform 2 monologues for a class in school, they have to be from two contrasting characters from different plays or movies. my first monologue will be regina george from mean girls, talking about how she used to be friends with janyce ian and it was embarassing. my second one has to be from a movie other than mean girls, and the character that says the monologue must be contrasting to her character. i was thinking something from a walk to remember from jamie, but i cant seem to find anything from there. if anyone has any suggestions that would be a huge help! thank you:) i would prefer responses with specific movie characters, monologues from them would be even better! i need a character who is like the "good little church girl" who is generous and nice, aka opposite regina george!

"I Dream" Monologue said by Audrey in Little Shop of Horrors Even her voice is very innocent, kind of wispy and airy I dream of a place where we could be together at last... It's just a daydream of mine. A little development that I dream of. Just off the interstate in a little suburb, far, far from urban Skid Row. The sweetest, greenest place - where everybody has the same little lawn out front and the same little flagstone patio out back. And all the houses are so neat and pretty... 'Cause they all look just alike. Oh, I dream about it all the time. Just me. And the toaster. And a sweet little guy - like Seymour... --------------------------------------... Here's another one from "The Wizard of Oz" Dorothy Gale But it wasn’t a dream. It was a place. And you and you and you… and you were there. But you couldn’t have been could you? No. Aunt Em, this was a real truly live place and I remember some of it wasn’t very nice, but most of it was beautiful; but just the same. All I kept saying to everybody was I want to go home and they sent me home! Doesn’t anybody believe me? But anyway, Toto, we’re home! Home. And this is my room and you’re all here and I’m not gonna leave here ever. Ever again. Because I love you all. And, oh Auntie Em! There’s no place like home! --------------------------------------... Here's a Juliet monologue from Romeo and Juliet JULIET: Thou knowest the mask of night is on my face; Else would a maiden blush bepaint my cheek For that which thou hast heard me speak to-night. Fain would I dwell on form -- fain, fain deny What I have spoke; but farewell compliment! Dost thou love me? I know thou wilt say 'Ay'; And I will take thy word. Yet, if thou swear'st, Thou mayst prove false. At lovers' perjuries, They say Jove laughs. O gentle Romeo, If thou dost love, pronounce it faithfully. Or if thou thinkest I am too quickly won, I'll frown, and be perverse, and say thee nay, So thou wilt woo; but else, not for the world. In truth, fair Montague, I am too fond, And therefore thou mayst think my havior light; But trust me, gentleman, I'll prove more true Than those that have more cunning to be strange. I should have been more strange, I must confess, But that thou overheard'st, ere I was ware, My true-love passion. Therefore pardon me, And not impute this yielding to light love, Which the dark night hath so discovered. Hope this helps! Best of luck to you!
