Is it possible to setup imap with yahoo account?

How do I switch from a Yahoo POP account to a Yahoo IMAP account?

• I'm using Yahoo mail on my iMac & iPhone. I'd like to be able to view/ delete /store messages on either device & have the action reflected on both devices. I visited the Apple Genius Bar and was told that I can only do this if I have an IMAP account, but they couldn't help because it's a Yahoo issue. So, went home and set-up the IMAP account, but now have both an IMAP & POP accounts on Yahoo & can't tell the difference between them (e.g., how do I know when I look at Yahoo if I'm looking at an incoming message on POP vs. IMAP?) . Actions taken on my iPhone are not registering on my iMac (or the opposite). I assume I should delete the POP account. Is this true? If so, how do I do it? If I delete this account, will I lose data?
