Where is Granada in Spain?

Holiday to Spain; How could i get from Madrid to Valencia and to Granada?

i will be travelling to Spain from Paris in midweek of September with my husband and 2 kids age 4 and 3. i discovered that to get to granada could only be by bus or plane. that is from madrid. the bus ride is about 4 to 5 hours ride... my kids would be having difficulty with that... how about from valencia to granada? i opt to go to valencia as i thought it would be a good idea for the kids to see the oceanographic underwater museum and going to the beach. after which i intend to proceed to granada from valencia. at granada, we plan to visit Alhambra and Plaza de San Nicolas. we have about 5 days to spend. appreciate your comments and advise pls. Thank you.
