What do I need to do to become a pediatric doctor in NZ?

• I am looking for a genuine answer. I would like to know what I would have to study to become a Pediatric Doctor/Surgeon in New Zealand. What qualifications would I need etc. I want to make a difference and help out where I can, I want to be more than just a social worker. So my question is "What do I need to do to become a pediatric surgeon." Any genuine answers are more than welcomed.

  The procedure is more or less the same as most countries: * First, you must become a doctor in New Zealand. This requires doing a medical degree, either in New Zealand or otherwise acceptable in New Zealand.
