There's a whole lot more room to work with the 3.0 "Vulcan" as compared to the 3.0 Duratec. Basically an EGR has a vacuum hose or 2, maybe a sensor wire connector, 2 mounting bolts and a metal pipe connecting into the bottom. Not bad if you have some room for wrenches. By the way, I have uselessly replaced 2 EGR valves based solely on having my codes read by a no-nothing clerk at a major auto parts chain store.
