How to take out subtitles of a video clip?

If it's hard subbed then you're out of luck but if not then you might be able to demux the video from the sub track. There are programs like MKVextractGUI which will do this but obviously the file would have to be in the mkv format. I've used Avidemux with less success. Your other option is to locate the raw video.

If it's softsubbed, then there are programs that can generate a version without the subtitles. MKVs are particularly easy to 'disassemble' and 'reassemble' in this way, due to how they are designed; but you could theoretically do it with other formats too. If it's hardsubbed, then you're out of luck. Interpolating the image across the region covered by the subtitles is an incredibly difficult problem, likely AI-complete or close to it. We don't have even close to the level of technology necessary to do that effectively.
