Chest pain while on birth control?

Is there a need to stop my NuvaRing if I am having chest pain?

• I have tried many different types of birth control and I know that I am extremely sensitive to any type of medication. Birth control, however, is a must. I tried the patch and the side effects were so severe my gyno said that the ring would be the best things for me with the lowest dose of hormones. I have been on the ring for almost a month now One of the serious side effects that were listed were chest pains as this may be a sign of a blood clot in the lung. I am having severe chest pain that comes and goes, strong headaches, and occasional shortness of breath. I am not coughing up blood. Do I have an immediate need to stop this birth control? I don't want to take the ring out because I feel as if its my last option to try for birth control and if I can't tolerate these side effects I won't have any more methods left to try. I can handle the pain as long as the chances are small that my life is really in danger. I doubt at the age of 19, being a non smoker, and fairly slim and fit that I am at risk for a heart attack or stroke...right? Will aspirin help my chest pain and reduce my risks of blood clots?

  aspirin will thin your blood but I don't think its a good idea to leave these chest pains without seeing your doctor. Are you stressed lately? sometimes i get really bad pains in my heart from stress. (im not on any birth control) A blood clot is SO dangerous you need to see the doctor about it. It could literally kill you!
