    Mobile network speed depends upon the area(circle) the speed u r experiencing on your phone is the mixture of your phones supportive speed +network speed according to my knowledge when u use phone as a modem for your pc/lap/tab its speed decreses upto an extent. 3g is costly.i am using phone that supports 3g speed upto 7.2 mb/sec.but considering the range of this area i am getting only average speed between 40-50 kb/sec. The speed u r experiencing now using a 2g data plan is not bad .if u need more speed try using data cards.
