Why did the back of my left nostril hurt?

  • Yesterday I was in the bathroom, looked in the mirror & saw a dried booger was peeking out of my left nostril. I couldn't leave it there obviously b/c it was noticable to anyone so I pulled it off. When I pulled it offI disovered it had a mucus tail that went to thr back of my nostril. About 3/4 of the way out, the back of mose started to REALLY hurt but I couldn't stop because 3/4 of the booger was on my finger. When I finally got all of it out, the back of my left nostril REALLY hurt. There was NO blood on the booger's mucus tail. After about an hour, it stopped hurting. So, why did the back of my left nostril hurt after I got this dried booger out that had a long mucus tail? Thanks to anyone who responds.

  • Answer:

    Probably tugged on some hairs and it got stuck being tugged. Afterwards it went back to normal. Next time blow hard into a tissue.
